These Warriors in life’s battle here on
earth,
These Maidens in life’s walk through daily challenges
Please,
Grandfather, accept this name,
"Shinning Star - Badge Number"
Given, in the name of all the holy men,
medicine men, and great warriors who have gone before me and now reside in the Heavenly Lodge,
and sit in Sacred Council
I
ask you take these humans into your warm, loving arms and hold safe and secure in life here on earth,
"Turtle Island"
As well as in your hearts in the Sacred Lodge
in the Heavenly Village, for all eternity and infinity
Please, Great One, I ask that you guide these Spirits throughout
life to the straight road and good path
May all of these persons tomorrows be that of
sunshine and happiness with more sweet than salt tears, but with a certain amount of salt tears and enough bumps and rough
road so as to appreciate the smooth
When they stumble or fall, I ask that you or
a member of the Council be there to help them up and steady them on their feet
This Sacred Naming is done along side
water to insure the moisture necessary in life and over land as this is where our nourishment comes from, as our
Mother
Earth supports us
